LHDN e-Invoice

e-Invoice, submitted from the counter.

Your cashier does not need to understand MyInvois. They ring up the sale the way they always have, and the submission happens behind it. Both of the routes LHDN allows a retail counter to use are covered.

LHDN Malaysia and MyInvois
Sales are submitted to LHDN's MyInvois system straight from the terminal.

Not sure which route applies to your business? That is a five-minute conversation — bring your last month of sales and we will tell you straight.

  • Individual

    Individual e-Invoice

The customer wants a proper invoice — usually because it is a company expense. The cashier captures their details at the point of sale and that single sale is submitted and validated on its own.

  • Consolidated

    Consolidated e-Invoice

Ordinary walk-in trade, where nobody asks for an invoice. Those receipts are batched and submitted together as one consolidated e-Invoice instead of one submission per transaction.

At the counter

Nothing changes for the person holding the till.

The compliance work is real, but it is not the cashier's job. It sits behind the sale they were already ringing up.

01

They ring up the sale

Same screen, same buttons, same speed at the counter. No separate compliance step to remember at the end of a queue.

02

The system decides the route

If the customer asked for an invoice, their details are captured on the sale and it goes as an individual e-Invoice. If nobody asked, it joins the consolidated batch.

03

It is submitted and validated

Submission to MyInvois happens from the terminal. What you check afterwards is a report, not a pile of paperwork.

Questions

What owners actually ask us about e-Invoice.

If your situation is not here, bring your last month of sales and we will tell you straight which route applies — that is a five-minute conversation, not a sales call.

Ask about your case

Does the cashier have to learn MyInvois?

No. They ring up the sale the way they always have. The only change is that when a customer asks for a proper invoice, the cashier captures their details on that sale — which is a field on the screen, not a separate system to log into.

What is the difference between individual and consolidated?

Individual is for the customer who wants a proper invoice, usually because it is a company expense. Their details go on the sale and it is submitted and validated on its own.

Consolidated is for ordinary walk-in trade where nobody asks. Those receipts are batched and submitted together as one consolidated e-Invoice, rather than one submission per transaction.

A normal shop uses both, most days.

Which route applies to my business?

That depends on your trade and who your customers are, and it is not something to guess at from a web page. Bring your last month of sales and we will tell you straight — it is a five-minute conversation. We would rather you set it up correctly once than have it corrected later.

Do I need separate accounting software for this?

Not for the counter side — submission happens from the POS terminal itself. If your accountant works in AutoCount, we supply and support that too, so the two can sit alongside each other rather than being two vendors pointing at each other when something does not reconcile.

Is this included, or is it a paid add-on?

Included. There is no e-Invoice module to unlock on top of the licence — it is in the system on day one, at the same price as everything else. Keeping up with changes on LHDN's side is part of what the yearly subscription pays for.
